Detailed information of the product Anti-Glass Fiber Exposure Agent (TAF) | ||||||||||||||||
I. Technical Specifications:
II. Main Properties: 1. Excellent mutual solubility in plastics. 2. Good affinity with glass fibers and inorganic fillers. 3. Strong coating ability on glass fibers in modified materials to prevent fiber exposure. 4. Provides good surface gloss and lubricity to products. 5. Reduces mechanical wear. III. Applications and Usage Methods: With the continuous development and needs of industrial production, plastic modified products occupy an increasingly important position in the plastics industry. In plastic modification, physically filled glass fiber reinforced materials offer high tensile strength, dimensional stability, heat resistance, and good electrical properties. Therefore, glass fiber reinforced materials such as engineering plastics have seen significant development in recent years. The drawback of glass fiber reinforced materials is fiber exposure, rough product surfaces, and severe wear on machining equipment. Thus, lubricants play a crucial role in processing. The TAF lubricant produced by our factory can prevent glass fiber exposure, improve processing fluidity, reduce screw torque, and enhance product surface smoothness in glass fiber reinforced plastics. Due to its excellent thermal stability, it is suitable for almost all engineering plastics. TAF can also be used as a dispersant in color masterbatches for polyester, polycarbonate, nylon, etc. ● Mainly used in glass fiber reinforced nylon and other plastic products to prevent glass fiber exposure, while increasing surface gloss, enhancing product fluidity, mold release, moisture resistance, anti-settling, anti-contamination, anti-static, dispersibility, reducing processing temperature by 3-5°C, decreasing screw torque, reducing machine wear, extending machine service life, and saving energy. Dosage: 0.5-0.8-1%. ● Dispersant for ABS dyeing and polyester color masterbatches. Dosage: Dyeing 0.5%, Masterbatch 0.3-0.5%. ● Dispersant for nano-TiO₂ composite materials in nano-TiO₂ masterbatches. Dosage: 0.3-0.5%. The above dosages are for reference only; adjust according to actual customer conditions. IV. Structural Features and Properties of Lubricant TAF ● TAF introduces polar groups based on ethylene bis fatty acid amide, forming a low molecular weight BAB-type copolymer. Reinforced glass fibers are generally surface-treated with silane coupling agents. The polar groups of TAF and the long-chain ends of silane coupling agents generate strong attraction through van der Waals forces, sufficient to eliminate the interface between the two phases and form a single phase. The solvating chain segments of TAF have certain compatibility with the matrix resin, allowing TAF to act as a compatibilizer. This creates anchor points, similar to cross-linking points, between the glass fibers and the base resin, improving the bonding state. The increased thickness of the mechanical interaction layer between the glass fiber surface and the matrix resin makes the matrix near the fiber surface more prone to shear yielding, enhancing impact energy absorption and dissipation, and promoting the toughening effect between the glass fibers and the matrix resin. Since the glass fibers are well coated in the resin, they flow synchronously with the resin during processing, reducing fiber exposure significantly. This reduces friction between the glass fibers and the screw, thereby lowering screw torque. ● TAF has strong adsorption with other coupling agents such as titanate and aluminate coupling agents, acting as a solubilizer in filled masterbatches (e.g., calcium carbonate, talc, titanium dioxide). When combined with titanate coupling agents, TAF turns brownish-red, so it is not suitable for products requiring light colors. ● TAF has good binding ability with inorganic pigments, making it suitable as a dispersant in nylon, polyester, and polycarbonate color masterbatches. Since color masterbatches do not require high mechanical strength but good dispersibility, TAF can be used without coupling agents in these products. V. Packaging, Storage, and Transportation: Kraft paper bags, 25 kg/bag, lined with plastic bags. This product is non-hazardous. Store in a cool, ventilated, dry place away from light. . |
